…As he Addresses Food Price Concerns, Appoints New Religious Leaders
The Emir of Rano, Ambassador Kabiru Muhammad Inuwa, has taken decisive action to address pressing issues within the emirate.
During today’s sitting, Emir Kabiru Muhammad Inuwa directed the district head of Kibiya to investigate allegations of farmland confiscation by the village head of Kalambu.
The directive follows the receipt of a formal complaint forwarded to the Emirate by the Kano Emirate Council. It is alleged that farmland, suspected to be owned by Abubakar Muhammad, Sha’aibu Usaini, and Sa’adu Usaini, was unlawfully confiscated.
Emir Kabiru Muhammad Inuwa has urged the district head to conduct a thorough investigation and report back with his findings for further action.
In a related development, the Emirate has taken note of concerns regarding food prices in some markets within the Bunkure local government area.
In a statement released to newsmen by Nasiru Habu Faragai, the Emirate’s information officer disclosed food prices in the region were presented during today’s session as contained in a document from the district head office of Galadima Rano Alhaji Muhammad Isa Umar
According to Faragai, the report indicated that maize is being sold at ₦900.00 per measure and ₦31,000.00 per bag, while rice stands at ₦1,700.00 per measure. White beans are priced at ₦1,500.00 per measure and ₦41,000.00 per bag, with corn at ₦1,000.00 and ₦35,000.00 per measure and bag, respectively. Millet is available at ₦1,000.00 per measure.
Furthermore, Emir Kabiru Muhammad Inuwa has conferred the titles of the new Chief Imam and Deputy Chief Imam of Fammar Unguwar Gidan Mai Riga Central Mosque.
The honorees, Malam Abdullahi Ishak and Malam Abdulhadi Adamu, have been charged with promoting peace and offering prayers for the continued tranquility of the country, state, and the Rano Emirate as a whole.
Additionally, Malam Mutari Sabi’u has been appointed as the Deputy Chief Imam of Shangu Year Central Mosque.
Emir Kabiru Muhammad Inuwa emphasized the importance of these religious leaders living in harmony with the community and consistently praying for lasting peace within the emirate, the state, and the entire nation.
