Kano State Government is committed to enhancing the infrastructure of six cattle markets in the State with a substantial investment. The Commissioner for Agriculture and Natural Resources, Dr. Danjuma Mahmud, reaffirmed this during his inspection of the ongoing upgrade of Dambatta Cattle Market.
The objective behind these upgrades is to raise the standards of the markets, ensuring they can withstand the test of time. The Kano State Agro Pastoral Development is spearheading the initiation and execution of these projects, as part of the state’s dedication to serving its people.
Expressing satisfaction with the quality and progress of the projects, the Commissioner emphasized the government’s responsible utilization of funds from donor agencies.
Alhaji Ibrahim Garba Gama, the special projects coordinator of Kano Agro Pastoral Development, disclosed that approximately 600 Million Naira is being invested in upgrading the Dambatta, Getso, Dumbulun, Kore, Wudil, and Falgore Cattle Markets. These improvements are aimed at benefiting the citizens of the State.
Assuring the public, the projects coordinator also stated that the upgrades will be completed promptly and efficiently.
